New Brunswick Trans* Research and Resource Assistant

What is this?

This is a curated information hub for anyone in New Brunswick looking to inform themselves about Transgender, 2-Spirit, Non-Binary, Intersex, or Genderqueer healthcare. Current, inclusive, and well-researched medical information is out there, but it's not always easily accessible. The aim here is to consolidate what's available into a simple to use resource in the name of health equity.

How do I use this?

Click a title in the Navigation Bar at the top of the page to jump to that section. If you suddenly need to leave the site for your safety, Exit will take you to the CBC's local news page for New Brunswick. Click any grey menu bar (like the one here) to expand or collapse the contents.
Icons are used throughout the site to denote certain attributes:

En Français?

Je suis desole. Je ne parle bien Français. Je ferai de mon mieux. Information will primarily be in English. Information in French will be included if I can get the gist of what it says and I trust the source, or if it's a direct translation of something I've already included. I am not a French speaker, and relying on computerized translation tools with no regard to context or ability to fact check does the Francophone community a disservice.

Did This Website Design Come From 1998?

Almost! The simplified design choices are all intentional for different accessibility reasons. Internet connection may not be reliable in rural areas or via public access, so images have been kept to a minimum. Verdana is a dyslexia friendly font. Black text on white background is as high contrast as you can get for low-vision or anyone using text to speech software.
